Having worked with some of the worlds best, (and worst !) riders,
teams, managers, trainers, tuners, mechanics and sponsors, Ian's
experience is in depth and varied at all levels. Add that to his
vast technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills put
him in demand by many teams and riders for the unique service he
offers with his technical support service.
"This guy called me who’d spent a fortune on some very special
parts for his RS250, it was an ex GP bike. He wanted buy some more,
very expensive parts from me to get the package to actually work.
He was surprised to find out I knew the bike, who’d worked on it,
what was missing, and why it was a slug. He was willing to spend
a lot more on it but didn’t know how to adjust carburation, or much
about his chassis."
The best parts in the world are no use unless you know how to set
them up and know some good basics.
He saved himself £1000, got a better bike and had more fun out
of learning how to set up his carburation for the fuel he was using
properly.
Ian always makes sure your getting the right parts for YOUR
needs. There are a lot of motorsport dealers who have NO IDEA about
the parts they are selling .
You may find some parts cheaper elsewhare, but without good technical
knowledge and product support, you may find the wrong parts for
YOUR needs an expensive, and frustrating experience. Whilst Ians
biggest knowledge base is the Honda RS125 and 250, many of these
subjects can be successfully supplied to any discipline in cycle
sport. Ian is currently supporting Richard and Isaac Emberton in
Quad super Moto. He has taken total beginners to top 3 national
riders in less than a season with his technical, training and rider
skills, having NEVER ridden a quad, or even been to a meeting until
Richard and Isaac decided to race.

| Ian can spend a day with you at the circuit, and
pass on his knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. He can help
you get your bikes set up, your pit area organised, and watch you
around the circuit giving you advice on lines and riding techniques.
The results are usually better lap times, more confidence in your
technical abilities, faster, neater, more reliable machinery and
better organised. We hope you'll have more fun, better results and
save money!
"I went to work with a customer at a club race , the place
where I did my first race. We set his chassis up for him, it was
a mile out, talked about some corners and gave him a few good tips
on his paddock set up. I was only there for the morning he went
a second faster than hed ever gone and had a load of fun. For me
that’s as rewarding as winning a Euro race. It cost him less than
a top end rebuild for my time "
How much would you spend on trick parts to get a second on a mile
long circuit ?????? |

| A lot of track day riders hire Ian as a group to be on hand
for up to 3 riders . This keeps expenses down. Its really handy to
have someone to support you pit side on track days, with a tool kit
and a few spares. Get some top rate support. Be a star for the day

| WORKSHOP BIKE CLINIC: |

"This guy went to 2 tuners after I'd done him a really nice
job on his cylinder, because in his words his bike was a piece of
crap. They all sold him parts, his bike went no better. He was furious,
but wouldnt bring his whole bike back to me or any of the other tuners.
We were all rubbish.. what's it got to do with my bike? he said.
It’s the engine that’s slow. I went to his next meeting, determined
so get his bike going well .
I got within 5 meters of the bike and saw the problem. His chain was
seized. It cost £45 to fix, and he was 4 BHP up." |

Having worked on so many bikes, at all levels,
Ian has seen some really good ways to do things ..and some very
bad! Why not bring you and your bike over to Ians shop next time
you need to work on it , and fix it up with Ian ?............Or
Invite Ian to your place .
He can go through your bike and correct things, suggest ways to
improve it, teach you maintenance and good workshop practice.
It’s a fun way to get a lot of knowledge, experience and contacts,
as well as some schooling on subjects like carburation and chassis
set up theory.
We turned up to Le Mans for the first Euro round . Jarno had the
biggest truck there, the Rizzla GP truck hed borrowed. However,
his spares kit consisted of one base gasket, one used spark plug
and a box of gears. I was tuning the cylinders in the back of the
truck in between practices, and most of the Friday and Saturday
night.
Jarno rode his heart out. He showed true class and determination
to finished fourth.
Now we have some prize money , we can all get home”
